On October 4 1957, the Soviet Union put humanity's first artificial satellite, Sputnik 1, into orbit around the Earth.

As an effect, a large number of companies began publishing advertising, which referred to space and space race, in the daily Persian newspaper, Ettelaat.

Images of satellites, rotation, rockets, earth and sky.

A Soviet car brand was the first to publish the day after Sputnik's journey through space became known. The advertisements began to gradually disappear in the 1960’s.

This work is built on these commercial ads.
