Can you undo and/or correct history by erasing your family?

Not even death can liberate you from crimes you’ve committed against humanity.

A long duration performance about the final hours of The First Lady of The Third Reich.

On December 16th 1938, Adolf Hitler initiated the Mutterkreuz - a decoration given to Arian women in the Third Reich for bearing Arian children. It came in three grades: Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Bronze was for bearing four or five children, Silver was for bearing six or seven children, and Gold for bearing eight or more children.

Magda Goebbels, wife of Joseph Goebbels (Reich Minister of Propaganda in Nazi Germany) and known as ”The First Lady of the Third Reich” was awarded the Mutterkreuz in Silver by Adolf Hitler,

having born six children by Joseph as well as an older son (who served as lieutenant in the Luftwaffe) in a previous marriage.

On April 30th 1945, Adolf Hitler and mistress Eva Braun committed suicide in the Führerbunker in central Berlin, where almost all of his closest staff, as well as the Goebbels family, also were situated.

The following day, in the afternoon of May 1st 1945, Magda would kill her and Joseph’s six children through opiates and later cyanide poisoning, leaving them in their beds in the bunker.

She is then rumored to have sat down to play solitaire, as well as write a letter to her oldest son.

And at 8pm on May 1st 1945, Joseph and Magda ascended from the bunker. Joseph shot and killed her, and then himself.

They were then thrown in the same pit where Adolf and Eva laid dead, and the pit was set on fire.

During a stay in Frankfurt in Germany in May 2017, I visited the memorial for the 12 000 Jews who were deported from Frankfurt during the Holocaust.

I took pictures of the memorial plaques of all Jewish women born on December 16th.

Those pictures are displayed behind me on the wall.

I was born on December 16th 1985 in Stockholm, Sweden.
